About the Venues of the Wedding
One thing that worked well for the event was the proximity of location. Both the venue of the traditional marriage, the church and the reception center were within the same area. A stone throw from each other. Guests who moved out of Honey Bee’s Court later moved into Rev. S.O. Jegede Memorial Anglican Church while those who came for the church wedding later crossed into Upper Spring Events Center which is just a stone throw. All the Jegede daughters are so blessed that they each have lands to utilize to their benefits within same Oke-Ana Quarters. The Church event started at 11am prompt.

The Chief Priest of Rev. S.O Jegede Memorial Anglican Church giving his 'Marriage Sermon' to the New Couple
The Sermon by the Priest
In his sermon, Priest in Charge of Reverend S.O Jegede Memorial Anglican Church, Reverend G.A.D Ewulum charged the couple to live in peace with no division of thought or action. He gave a sermon titled ONE BODY, MANY PARTS after he and a team of other priests conducted the holy solemnization on the couple. Drawing his sermon from Genesis 2 from verse 18, Ewulum drew out 7 reasons why God created a woman out of a man. The man of God said God’s creation was not complete until he created a woman. The Priest said God clearly demonstrated that in Marriage two is not two but one. The man of God charged the groom and his bride to live in peace; he particularly told Bolaji that “Marriage is to be enjoyed not to be endured”. The thirty minutes sermon was almost like a counsel as the man of God hammered on the concept of unity and understanding as the main virtue of a successful marriage.

The two are the first couple to wed after the church has been chattered by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). They were declared SPECIAL HARVEST COUPLE OF YEAR 2015 by the leadership of the church with a certificate given to that effect. Reverend G.A D. Ewulum while confirming to this blog after church service said “It is an epic event for us here and for me it is a thing of joy because it is in my own time that the wedding started in this church” Speaking further on the history of the church, Reverend Ewulum said, the church was founded in 2008 when late Reverend Samuel Jegede died and instructed his children to build a church in his name and they build the church and it was dedicated by the Lord Bishop, The Rt. Reverend. Dr. Samuel Olubayo Sowale the Diocesan Bishop of Ilesa Anglican diocese. This is the first time we are having a wedding in this church and that is why we gave the couple the award of Harvest Couple of year 2015 as the first couple to be joined together in this church”

What Former Minister of Defense, Petinrin told the couple
Immediate past Chief of Defense, Air Chief Marshal Oluseyi Petirin was the chairman of the wedding Reception. In his word of advise, the former Defense Chief described Mobolaji as the “Head of the home” while he said Tope is the “owner of the home”. As if speaking from the spirit, the chairman charged the groom to always overlook any little thing that could cause him anger and instead face the bigger picture of managing the home front with the assistant of his wife. The fair complexioned Military Expert said to Mobolaji “You are the head of the home while she is the owner of the home”. “As the head you need a lot of tolerance to direct the affairs of the home. You must be able to endure insults. You must be able to endure abuse because you are the head of the family while your wife is the owner of the home”. Lastly, Petinrin advised Mobolaji to give away all old habits and embrace the maturity of marriage and responsibility of the head of the family.
