Gbenga Dan Asabe with High Chief Jimoh Aliyu (MFR)
In continuation of our exclusive encounter with Chief Jimoh Aliyu (MFR) one of Nigeria’s most respected actors and movie Producers which Part 1 of the interview broke on this blog early in the week, we hereby present the Part 2 of this rare exclusive interview for your delight.

In this Part 2, the Septuagenarian producer of epic movies like Arelu, Yapan-yanrin, Fopomoyo and more told us the Spiritual implication of sleeping with a woman and making it a public discourse and why such attitude has led to the death of the glory of many young people.  He also spoke on why many actors of the Yoruba movie genre become so wretched as a result of their ignorance of making incantations on movie sets.
The Ekiti state, Western Nigeria born elder statesman equally shared some other insightful experience on his career, life and many things that could help today’s youths live a better life ahead. It is an interview like never before.

If you want to wish Chief Jimoh Aliyu a happy 80th birthday or send birthday gift to this great dramatist, you can reach him through his Nigerian contact on (080-3452-5224).
Enjoy the Reading.
Chief Jimoh Aliyu to Asabeafrika....'I lost 3 children for reciting incantations without knowing the implication'
Sir, you said rendering incantations in movies has made many artistes broke, can you explain the reason better?
Let me tell you a secret, making incantation is like someone who went to buy a copy of 7 book of Moses and you don’t know the antidote and the person now ran mad.  There is different between Ofo (Incantation), Ohun Ife (The Ife Creed), Ayajo (Daily Authority) and Ogede (enchantment). There are some Ogede you chant and you don’t know the time you are chanting it is the wrong time of the day, it is just like reading Psalms in water; some Psalms you read in water, others work with olive oil and others are for coconut water and so on. Some people don’t know the power behind incantations and by the time you say ‘this and this and that is the reason why the earth is round and covered with water’ and you are using that same Ogede to chant a curse on a fellow human being on a movie location all in the name of doing a movie, that person might become wretched or even die because you are only joking with what has been said but the celestial forces have taken it serious. Once I did that mistake and I saw the consequence I quickly changed my system.
“Some people don’t know the power behind incantations and by the time you say ‘this and this and that is the reason why the earth is round and covered with water’ and you are using that same Ogede to chant a curse on a fellow human being on a movie location all in the name of doing a movie, that person might become wretched or even die because you are only joking with what has been said but the celestial forces have taken it serious”
Baba Aworo to Asabeafrika...'Sleeping with a woman and making jest of her has great repercussion for men'
What happened to you?
I lost three children in quick succession over sacrifices I ought to make for recompense and that made me quickly reach out to elders for consultations because my father is an Ifa priest. They were the ones who told me that ‘do you know so-so and so-so things you call are very injurious to your spiritual life? Next time don’t complete so-so line because if you do, this is the implication. Remove this word from these lines or if you have to call it down, this is the spiritual remedy (Ero). Sometimes we want to do a scene that has to do with “Esu” (Devil) I will say “Esu, maa se mi o, maa de se awon Omo ton sere oo, a kan fin sere ni ooo. (Devil, don’t harm me and don’t harm any of my artistes, we are only using your name for movie purpose). It is just like when you publish a book and I now re-produce it as a movie without taking permission from you, you can sue me to court. That is how it is with these elemental beings, instead of suing you to court; they will sue you to poverty. If you see most of those actors chanting incantations in movies, may God forgive me; most of them are so poor and wretched. Even in Islamic injunctions, there are some Tiras, you call some Imams to come and help you chant and they will stoutly reject because if they try it, they might go broke for months.
Baba Aworo with his crew
I am on my last stage on earth
Is it that majority of those actors are unaware of the implication of chanting those incantations?
That is why I said we have lost our culture; people doing movie today just want to make money, I am not looking for money any longer, it is good name that is my lot. Even this birthday (80th birthday), now, I can’t explain it again because my goodwill alone is opening doors for me and I am getting enough than I can’t explain. The kind of support from individuals, journalists like your humble self, media organizations and even some people want to inaugurate me as King of Culture (Oba Asa) for my exemplary role in the development of culture in Nigeria. It is not easy for one to be made Cultural ambassador by one’s state, Member of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (MFR) by the nation and Afe Babalola the Senior Advocate of Nigeria instructed the university community to make me a Professor of Theatre Arts, I think it is God’s doing, not man’s knowledge and that is why I am very grateful to God, and right now I am at my last bus stop. I have taken my passport and waiting to board the plane to the next destination. Once you are 35 years, you have to be careful because life’s span is set to start decreasing at age 35 and if you don’t take time, you might be writing a letter to death. If you take things easy, your lifespan can be increased even up to a septuagenarian and octogenarian age. But if you are not careful, you might get to 45 and you will just drop straight into the grave. Some people will tell you ‘oh, I love Ogogoro’ another one will say he cannot do without smoking, there are some foods that destroys the heart, there are some medication I will take now but your own body will react to it negatively, that is why I restrain myself and I will also say you must be careful with women because they also play a role in determining how long you will live on earth.
Are you saying sleeping around with women does not have health benefits?
The youth of today thinks it is a fanciful thing to carry women about but I will correct that opinion now, young men who indulge in changing women like napkins, look, it is not all women you have the grace to climb their chest as a human being. There are some women you will climb their chest and you will never amount to anything again in life.
“In fact, if a woman’s private part is not secret; God will not put it in such a very secret place in between the legs. The names are Idi (Ona le dii mo eyan—It can lead to the blockade of good things coming to you) I don’t like calling the other name publicly but they call it Obo (Ole bo Ogo eyan mole—It can cover your glory for life) they call it Abe (Under) (Abe yen le be—That under can cut you to sizes), but majority of our men don’t know, it is also called “The River of Life”
Baba Aworo to Asabeafrika....'A lot of actors have destroyed their own lives due to ignorance about incantations'
How do you mean, sir? Are you saying after I climb a woman and I enjoy her and I go bath it off, things could go worse for me?
My son, I did enough research in that area and don’t forget that I am a spiritualist. There are different kinds of Emere (Ogbanje) there is Water Ogbanje, there is Ogbanje of Banana groove and all these elements have left the T-Junction where they get their sacrifices, they have moved into the church and mosques. Even the witches are no more standing at T-Junctions again, they are now in the churches and Mosques and other popular places; they now come to parties because they know that is where they can get their human sacrifice. You will see a well dressed and pretty woman and you will say ‘oh, she is beautiful and sexy, let me chop her’ and you chop and die. They have left their abode to mix with the world and they are ready to dress to kill just to catch your attention and mess up your life.
Chief Jimoh Aliyu to Asabeafrika...'It is a taboo for a young man to send away a woman who just got pregnant for him'
Are you saying men are in trouble?
Now, this is the implication for young men, if you meet a young lady and tell her ‘Look, my dear, I don’t intend to marry you, I just want us to befriend each other and enjoy the relationship, I already have my own wife’, if she loves you; she will agree and befriend you. That is number one. Secondly, you were able to date or sleep with that particular woman and you now sat with your friends in a public place and she passes by and you now open your mouth to say “Oh, look at her, I have chop her, I don’t need her again” or “I have seen her through, she is not my speck! She is this, she is that”, my God! You have just cursed yourself and you have fall into a very big problem because we call it “Private Part” (Abe) and it has nine names (Oruko Mesan) and those nine names are curse-able names. Whatever you do with it must be private. If you have seen the private part of any woman before, you will discover that you only need to keep the relationship private; it is not a thing you start bragging or talking about publicly because it is called private part.
“I said ‘as my daughter is going through labor pains, I will put water in her front and I will drop just one kobo in the water. That boy will be chasing kobo for the rest of his life. When I said that, I left.  By the third day, the family loaded themselves in three cars and quickly sauntered into my house in group”.

So, what are those other names that a private part is called?
In fact, if a woman’s private part is not secret; God will not put it in such a very secret place in between the legs. The names are Idi (Ona le dii mo eyan—It can lead to the blockade of good things coming to you) I don’t like calling the other name publicly but they call it Obo (Ole bo Ogo eyan mole—It can cover your glory for life) they call it Abe (Under) (Abe yen le be—That under can cut you to sizes), but majority of our men don’t know, it is also called “The River of Life” if you swim in it and you swim successfully in and out, you should count yourself lucky and thank God. So, it is not something you make jest of. Never! Now, look at where God hid it under the woman;  the day a woman undresses for you and you are able to see her nakedness, she is not thinking of God on that day, she is not even thinking of her father or her mother again, everything is for you and your eyes alone because the love she has for you has covered the shame and she cannot take that privilege of showing you her nakedness in privacy and now take the same nakedness to the public and say ‘everyone, come and see oo’. No, meaning that she held you in trust to be able to cherish her privacy part and never make it a public discourse. But some unfortunate people will now start making jest of the lady and the repercussion is very bad. I will not make a woman my concubine if I see that I love her and I want to marry her, I will rather marry her; and even if I toast you and you refuse me your love. Just for the fact that I have toasted you, I will love to find something to compensate you so that you will be happy and when she is far away, she can say ‘Even this man who didn’t do anything with me, has done this favor for me’ she will be happy but in your case, you deceived her, unveiled her, enjoyed her nakedness and you now start talking about it in public or you promise her something and you refused to fulfill the promise; even God Himself said something in both the Bible and Quran over making covenants (Alukawani), in traditional pantheon it says “Eke nii peru, Epe ni npole, Ile dida nii n pore, alajobi nii n pa eni abinibi to moni to tun se ni loju eni. Iyen lo di ifa fun Okannilowo Irunmole to baa Orunmila dite, ton ba Orunmilaa n sota ni ojo ti Orunmila lo sodun to loun fe goke igbonri. Maalu lo man lo, sugbon ni igba ti awon Irunmole de ita, ti won o ri ibi to so malu mo, ni won baa bere si ni fi se yeye, won ni owo ti tan lowo e, ko si nkan-nkan. Nigba ti won mu emu tan, ti won fee ma’a lo, oni e jokoo. Oni, eke nii peru, epe nii pole, ile dida nii pore, alajobi nii npa eni abinibi to mo’oni to tun se ni loju eni, ohun lo dii ifa fun gbogbo eyin okelerinwo irunmole ti e ban ba ohun Orunmila so’ ta. Oni, a jo gbori ile, atijo jeku ooo, ati jo gbori ile, ajo jeja. Ajo gbori ile, a je igbin, a jo gbori ile a jeun, ti gbogbo yin baa dori ile, tee dami, ashe dowo ile, a pani’’ all of them became remorseful and felt so bad because he gave them just one dogma out of series of creeds.
GDA meets Chief Jimoh Aliyu (MFR)
How a young man impregnated my daughter and….
So, you mean all these creeds are powerful?
They are but a lot of young people are not knowledgeable in them; for instance, a lady come and tell you ‘I have missed my period I think I am pregnant for you’ and the next thing you say to her is ‘Are you mad, you better go and look for your missing period and find where you hid it’, haaaa, (Exclaimed, holding his head) that is a big taboo. It is unheard of in Yoruba land. Ok, let me give you an example, sometimes ago, someone had a relationship with my daughter and got her pregnant. I saw my daughter’s state and I said ‘where is the man responsible?’ She said ‘Dad, he rejected it’, I said ‘no, he can’t reject it, he will take it’.  So, I went looking for the guy’s mother and I said to her, my daughter said your son impregnated her but he has rejected the pregnancy. Don’t worry, I have the antidote; on the day my daughter is going through the labor to have the baby, I will drop a kobo inside water for your son. I said ‘as my daughter is going through labor pains, I will put water in her front and I will drop just one kobo in the water. That boy will be chasing kobo for the rest of his life. When I said that, I left.  By the third day, the family loaded themselves in three cars and quickly sauntered into my house in group. They first lied to me, that ‘sir, our son is not here but we have come to plead on his behalf to settle the matter”. I replied them and said ‘All of you here, I don’t have issues with you, the man I want to throw a kobo inside water for is the one I have issues with” and before I knew it, the guy stood up among them and came forward “I am the one sir, I have come to beg you, I will take the child but I cant marry the mother”, I said “Hey, hey!!! As you have just said you will only take the child and reject the mother, that child will become the greatest among your children and….’.
Chief Jimoh Aliyu to the GDA...'The Private Part of a Woman has nine names and I will tell you'
Thank God that child today, is out of the University and this is a child that they nearly terminated his pregnancy. He read Mechanical Engineering. There are lots of young girls that will beg me to help them abort their pregnancy and I will reject and when they give birth, we get twins. So, if I kill those children, who do I know they are going to become someday, we offend God so much in this country, we offend God and that is why we are in problem. That is why the young people are in crisis. A prophet must be truthful, an imam must be truthful and the herbalist must be sincere. An herbalist should not enter the kingdom of God ahead of a Prophet or a Pastor because if you find out, in the later hour, some prophets’ way is cruel. Someone has problem and you tell him to go and sell his property for you to heal him. I usually tell people who come to me for help, don’t sell your house to solve your spiritual problems, don’t. Just tell me your problem and I will help you, if things change for good and you are grateful so be it and if you are ungrateful, well, that is your own portion but I have seen many people who came back to say “Thank you sir, we didn’t know you are this special”. If I tell you anything, it is out of personal experience, not hearsay. I lived in the north at a time, I have spent time in the East, Igbira land, Liberia, Ivory Coast up to Ghana, Kumasi; all those places I go to learn one thing or the other. If I am in Saudi Arabia I don’t sleep on my hotel room, I will be going around finding out why certain things are peculiar. I will be searching for knowledge. That Kabba people go to pray in Mecca, most people don’t know what goes underground the Kabba.
The GDA with Baba Aworo after the encounter
Can you tell us sir?
Under Kabba we have a busy express road with moving cars and packed ones and cars on that road are almost twenty thousand, I researched everything including Medina even the famous mosque in Medina is also built on a high, atop a bridge. People don’t research, that is the problem. This bead on my wrist is sourced from Kabba, from the hotel in front of Kabba in Saudi Arabia. Where you find the best beads in the world is Mecca. But if I put in all over my wrist and legs people will say, one is messing around with fashion but it is my fashion sense and nobody’s problem. If you see any man of God, Pastor or Imam who is involved in any scandal, it is God that is interested in exposing him over his secret inanity. So, a man of God be him Muslim or Christian must be truthful. That is the way to make God happy with you. Some people will be abusing me, but I am beyond all that. If they say somebody slept with my wife and I now start to curse him that is not me because his destiny is not in my hand.
