Governor Amosun Pledges Continuous Promotion Of June 12 Symbol

Late chief Moshood Kashimawo Abiola as the acclaimed winner of the annulled June 12 presidential election has been described as a political hero and nationalist per excellence at least for submitting his life to the survival of the country.
The Ogun State Deputy Governor Chief (Mrs.) Yetunde Onanuga stated this at the take off point of the commemorative walk organised by the state government to mark this year's annual remembrance of June 12 presidential election in Nigeria.

Mrs Onanuga who was accompanied by the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Taiwo Adeoluwa and other Government functionaries late Abiola deserved to be remembered being the first Nigerian to be voted for by millions of Nigerians regardless of ethnic and religious differences in the political anal of the country. 
According to the Deputy Governor, the State Government and the entire citizens of Ogun as well as other Nigerians will be regarded as ingrate if the man who is regarded as martyr of democracy is not remembered on every June 12.
She added that the current administration in the State will continue to honour him and his family for the legacies of selflessness, fairness and impartiality and patriotism he demonstrated as an indication of his true nationalistic ideologies.
Speaking in like manners, the Secretary to the State Government  Barrister Taiwo Adeoluwa said the State Government is organising annual remembrance of the late politician to draw the conscience of other Nigerians  to the memory of June 12 presidential election which was adjudged to be the most free and fair election in the history of country.
