Elias International School celebrates International Day

It is said that “the world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page”Saint Augustine
Therefore,today,  Friday March 3, Elias International School will have scores of people—Students, Parents, Guardians and many well-wishers gather in her compound in Lagos—South West Nigeria to kick start the “International Day”  celebration of the school which will take place in her three annexes between Friday March 3 and Friday March 17, 2017.

The International Day Celebration is a sociology-education exercise/event where the school celebrates her culture of global integration through quality education which is the hallmark of the school in the last 28 years of establishment.

The event will gives room for students to showcase the culture and social orientation of selected countries across continents of the world. This year’s edition will showcase countries in continents like South America, Africa, Asia, North America and Europe. Countries in view are Columbia, Ghana, India, Mexico, Malaysia and Germany.

Up Flags! Up Nations!
Classes from JSS 1 to SS 3 are expected to represent each of the six selected countries  by adorning their native attires and celebrate their culture as well. General information about the socio-economic policies of the selected countries will equally be volunteered to the benefit of guests and attendees.

Parents and Guardians will equally be given a tour narrative of the 6 countries  while pupils and teachers are expected to educate and entertain guests with indigenous songs, food, fashion, dance, dialect and anthems among several other interesting briefs about the selected countries.

According to a release from the Public Relations department of the school made available to Asabefrika yesterday evening, “This Year’s edition of International Day Celebration will kick start with our Secondary School at Ile-Epo on 3rd March while our Primary School  will have hers on Friday 10th and it will end with our Alimosho annex (Primary School) on Friday 17th, March 2017”.
